Updated tax-credit information
Federal used EV tax-credit update
Federal clean-vehicle incentives changed in 2025. Verify current rules before relying on a credit in your purchase decision.
The current federal rule
The IRS states that the new, previously owned, and commercial clean-vehicle credits are not available for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025. Because Longhorn EV transactions now occur after that date, buyers should not assume a federal previously owned clean-vehicle credit applies.
Confirm guidance before you buy
Tax eligibility depends on the acquisition date and applicable law, and tax circumstances are personal. Review the official IRS clean-vehicle tax-credit guidance or speak with a qualified tax professional for current information. Longhorn EV does not provide tax advice.
Other ownership considerations
Even without a federal purchase credit, compare total vehicle price, insurance, home charging, electricity rates, maintenance, warranty coverage, and your driving pattern. The best value depends on the specific vehicle and how you plan to use it.
